Season 18 Post Season Awards

In Season 18 the great Rob Jacobs was finall dethroned as the AL MVP. He had won 10 straight years, but a 24-year old stole his thunder(although he still had a great year .336, 42HR, 140 RBI). Here is a look at the Season 18 Post Season Award winners.

AL MVP:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Chris Roberts

The 24-year old might win the next 10 AL MVP Awards. He hit .355 with an amazing OBP of .472. Playing a middle infield position, Chris adds a strong glove to his MVP.


NL MVP:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Ronnie Handworth.

The 28-year old catcher hit .354 and drove in 128 runs while throwing out approximately 30% of runners trying to steal against him.

AL CY YOUNG:

The gritty veteran who was traded before the season to Kansas City went 18-6 with a 2.56 ERA in the American League. He also pitched 233 innings with a 1.01 WHIP and recorded 200 Ks. Its his second Cy Young award as he won back in Season 16 as well and he took home his first Championship Ring.

NL CY YOUNG:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Miguel Moreno

The 32-year old took home his second straight Cy Young and his 3rd ML overall (he won 2 minor leauge Cy Young Awards as well). He went 19-6 with a 2.24 ERA and a 1.09 WHIP in 212 innings of work.

AL ROY:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Francisco Johnson

The 25-year old went 18-6 in his first season of ML action, working 191 innings and posting a 1.21 WHIP. He should be dominate for a long time.

NL ROY:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Mike Rushford

The 25-year old hit a NL high 48 HRs and drove in 118 RBI to lead Milwaukee back to the playoffs. He is the second straight Brewer to win NL Rookie of the Year.

AL Fireman:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: Orlando Perez

The Twins closer saved 38 of 42 games win a minascule 1.88 ERA. He struck out 48 in 43 innings of work and walked just 12. He held opponents to a .294 OBP.

NL Fireman:

Hardball Dynasty – Fantasy Baseball Sim Games - Player Profile: R.J. Tavarez

R.J. saved a whopping 45 games in 52 chances. In 72 innings of work, he had a 1.20 WHIP. For his career, he now has 158 saves.
